i own a 2002 Volvo S60, and love thecar...but just recently there has been a problem...only when i start the car and usually only in the mornings. What happens is that I go to turn the key while in the ignition and after it gets the the III spot, the car chugs (the best word i could think of) and all of the interior lights dim and then get brighter in sync with the chugs. Also, smoke has come out of the exhaust, but hte color is more to the white side (def. not black smoke). After a couple of tries it goes. It is worrisome, but while driving the car does not act irregularly at all. Could it be water in the gas line? The peculiar thing is that it only does it when it sits (like overnight). Help!!!!

 

Sounds like the battery might be going bad.
