program key fob
Hi I read your thread and I am having trouble understanding what you said about turning the ignition on and off 5 times to program the remote. If you could explain the procedure to me I would greatly appreciate it. I have a S-60 and the remote used to work and now it doesn't. I have replaced the battery still no results. Volvo dealer tried to tell me it was not the remote for the car and tried to sell me one for $200. I have looked at the ones on ebay, in the US they average around $25, but on the Canada ebay site they are as low as $6 and ashigh as $100 dollars. I have also read ebay reviews and they said do not buy because it does not have the 16 digit PIN number. I don't know what to do so any help will be appreciated. Thanks mstrplmber
That only works on the 960 and 850.
The S60 you need to have the Dealer program it.
Also be very careful buying from e-bay. If you don't get the papers that come new with the remote from the factory you will have a $25.00 paper weight. You need the Numbers by the bar code on the sticker for them to program it.
