Default Replace REM

I am pretty sure my REM is bad.
No fuel gauge, no rear door locks, fuel door won't open, trunk won't open.

I have read about codes, what tool is needed to read the codes relating to the REM?

Is this something that I can replace myself?
Does a new REM need to be programmed?
If I purchase the part from a dealer or online, will it be programmed?

2001 S60 2.4T

Thanks for any help

Brian

Thanks.

Looks pretty easy to replace. Dealer quoted $540 for the part.

I unplugged/plugged it in last night. Seems to be working for now.
