Just purchased a 2006S60 2.5T Volvo with 34,000 miles. Not new to Volvo's have owned them on several occasions. Always had good luck with them. Bought this one for the safety aspect, looks and 100,000 mile warranty or until 2012 whichever comes first. It was a pre-certified for whatever that is worth (bumper to bumper warranty was the big draw). Dealer told me to use 91 octane but with the price of gas I am going to try 87. If it works then will stay with it. The VolvoSales Managertold me he uses 87 Octane in his S60 without a problem. Would like some feedback on the octane issue in S60's. S60 came withleather seats, sunroof and all the little geek items. Sirrus radio is built in but doubt I will subscribe. Love the plush seats which are programmable. Was impressed with the acceleration for a 4 cylinder turboengine. Will probably have a few questionsfor forum members on this site onceI start to put miles on it.

 

congrats... and the reason you are impressed with the 4cyl is because it's actually a FIVE-cyl.

 

Thank you. That is a surprise revelation. I will have to buy an extra spark plug (does it have sparkplug's?). I guess it would be a good idea to buy a service manual.
