After catching my boot lace in my hood latch I can’t pop the hood . The mechanism turn completely 360 degrees and sticks out a little more than normal. Any way I can pop the hood without that latch? I just don t have time right now to leave my car at the dealer .is this a DIY or how much is this going to cost.

yes, you’re going to have to take the front grill off. Try not to break the tabs. I’ve seen the cable corrode and stretch to a point where it doesn’t unlatch. I also saw the handle break from too much force.
