Default S60 2017 T3 - conditions for AC to work

Hello forum

I have some question - does anyone knows what are the conditions for a/c to work ? E.g if the outside temperature has to be above some level ?
I am having weird issue - when my car is on, but engile is "cold" the A/C compressor doesn't start ( outside around -2 Celcius degree)
When the car heat up - A/C compressor will start working.

Thanks for answears in advance

Hello

@hoonk thank You for the information. It is not so good cause when my volvo is without the A\C really on (I mean compressor working) have so much steaming on windows - especialy when there is winter time in Poland and temperature or air is below -3 C degrees. And e.g when I use defrosting of windshield - and compressor can not work cause evaporator temp is below 3 degrees - my windshield is totally in mist
Do You have any information how can I handle this steaming / misting windows without A/C on ? When I had old cabin filter was te same, with new one - still misting. Additionally windows are clear inside, there is no leakage on the cooling fuild into the cabin, and water from rain / snow is not getting inside cabin - I was checking the floor in different times of the year - it is dry.
So is something wrong or for this car is typical ?

Thanks in advance

Never use recirculate - it traps the moisture in, and open the windows slightly. The windows fog up on the inside because the moisture inside the car is greater than on the outside of the car - due to the humans breathing in the car.

If the windows fog up badly it's possible there is a problem with the recirculate flap being stuck closed.

I dont use recirculate - and I have checked - it is working properly - I hear the sound of engine working and I also disassembly the elements under windshield - to clean it and check it the cover is open - and it was good
So I think this car has it like this
