Exclamation s60 dash gone wrong

hi everyone!!
today i was going to work and the car was fine - no faults at all!! but after work when i started the car dash cloks was dead!! no lights , no speedo ,no fuel level - nothing -just 3 things worked:
1. seat belt warning light(when seatbelt is not attached)
2. engine check light( when you start the car)
3. and blue light when far lights is turned on!!
anyone had something like that before?? everything else on the car still works fine !AC,RADIO,DOOR AND ALL other light are ok!! I checked all fuses and they was fine!! just dash spedo clok unit is dead apart from them 3 lights!
can the problem be voltage regulator (L4925N) located in DIM???
don't know what to do!! do I need new das unit!! ebay sells one for 55 quid!!

I'm having a similar issue.

My message center does not read correctly. The letters are garbled or upside down or backwards either way, it's messed up. And the other two message centers (odometer and clock/gear display) do not work at all.

I have had work done on the tranny recently and have a feeling those guys did something but since they are transmission guys, I would rather not have them try to fix what they fukt up.

My in-dash clock doesn't work. Just displays --:-- and can't be changed. If anyone knows anything about it, let me know. I checked all the fuses. Wondering if it will take a full dash unit replacement. If you end up replacing your dash unit, post back here and let us know how it goes and any tips.

looks like the cars computer needs to be replaced , not necessarily the dash, but it could also be your battery as well. i had the same issue with my s60 and a quick battery swap made everything work

yeah ! my dash is completely dead for 2 days now- apart from them 3 lights(seatbelt/engine chek/far lights)! considering tomorrow see the auto electrician - because it's a common problem they might know something!! and i found on ebay some dash repair thing( you need to send dash unit away) but they give you 2 year warranty - if it's a dash problem they should know that!
i will try to change the battery - but don't think that has anythinto do with it!!
