I just purchased a 2004 S60 with 75,000 miles on it. Any common problems with this year and model I need to be on the lookout for? Thanks.

The automatic transmissions have some common issues that have been documented. There are some sticky threads regarding the issue and how to resolve it.

 

The vehicle has 76,000 miles and the second owner had it for the last ten years. I don't have service records and the Carfax only indicated a couple of oil changes. As such I'm presuming a lot of service catch up. I've got the timing belt kit ordered and coming and will install. Oil , filters and trans fluid as well. The rest I'll deal with as I find other potential issues. The car's being shipped and should be here in about 10 days. I have not yet seen it but the dealer has a 100% Ebay rating with a lot of sales. Thanks for the input.
