S60 Right front axle major problem.
Ok guys, i need some help here. My wife's car is an 02 s60 awd. I have been chasing an acceleration vibration for awhile, and last night I decided to pull the right front axle and replace it. Old one came out fine, but doesn't match the new one. If you are familiar with these right side axles, they seem to have a tube made to the inner shaft that goes into the tranny. It appears that this tube broke/separated and stayed in the transaxle off the old one. How the He*# am i supposed to get it out. I have confirmed with volvo by vin # that yes, my new axle is right. I will see if i can post some pics if no one understands my dilemma.
you sure it broke?
you could try a powerful magnet or pop the driver side off and push it out from the other side, i havent done mine yet, but I did pick one up last time I went to the recyclers
that side should slide out, the driver side has a lock ring

So how is this for some stupid crap. Turns out, this 2002 s60 awd, takes an axle for an 02 v70 awd turbo. Thanks volvo for nothing, I figured it out on my own. Thanks guys for the help, what looked like disaster is now just a pain in my a#%. How does something like this happen?
