We have an '01 s60. This car has had many of the problems I see here in the forum; surging idle, jumpy at acceleration (imagine it's the tranny), tail lights not working.

Now we have a new problem. It's giving us problems shifting out of park. It's just stuck. If we press the brake pedal several times, you eventually feal/hear a click and then it will shift out of park.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Our Volvo has only about 82,000
