So I just bought an 04 S60 R and unforutnaly it did not come with an owners manual. So off the bat, do the wipers on the headlights work? and if so how do i operate them? Also I am assuming to use premium fuel but i was not sure if it was necessary. Also, what is the stock boost? Any other stuff that you guys think I should know about the car let me know, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Spenser, welcome to the forum and congrats on your S60 R. Is this your 1st Volvo?

If you look in the General Section, you'll find a sticky that has some info for new Volvo owners. There you will find a link to the on-line owners manual.

Yes Volvo recommends 91+ octane and I do suggest you use it but the car will run fine with the min 87. You will likely NOT be able to tell the difference but it my cause issues in the long run being an agressive turbo motor.

The headlight wipers are suppose to operate when you wash the windshield.

I seen your post in the "What did you do to..." thread. Please let me in on your secret of figuring out what triggered your CEL. I'd like to posses that gift. LOL

 

Not sure about your boost. Mine is about 10.2. I'm sure you can google it.

Yeah this is my first Volvo, thanks about the gas update, yeah my 3000gt took premium, so im am not stingy when it come to buying gar, and as far as owning the car so far so good, as far as the CEL going off, im just assuming it is the O2 sensor, then again i am just guessing, im not used to owning a car with this much technology. i just hope everything is order and it is nothing major at this point.
