Default Steering Wheel / Starting engine & Idle

Hi, I'm from Malaysia, own a 2002 Volvo S60 which has done about 200K+ Miles. So i remember creating a thread to talk about me feeling some vibration on my brake pedals when i am coming to a almost complete stop, the vibration if i have to describe it's a fast one, like a dom dom dom dom dom .... and at the same time ( sometimes ) the steering wheel vibrates as well along with the brake pedals, and this only happens when i am coming to a stop, not when i am accelerating, or driving on the road, driving wise it's all smooth. I had skim the rotors but actually only managed to use 1 side of the skim-ed rotor, the other one is another rotor which is not skim, but is from the workshop, so i was wondering what could still be the issue of my brake pedal vibrating ? Almost as if my braking isn't smooth and only the driver can feel it while the legs is on the brake pedal.

My 2nd question comes about my steering wheel & car starting up, so basically my steering wheel vibrates the same as when i am coming to a stop when I start up my engine and while my hand is holding the steering wheel, i can feel the mild vibration from it as well as when I turn on the air-con, even when I'm not turning on the air con, just by starting up the engine, the steering wheel vibrates , only occasionally, but it will not vibrate when I start it up on a new day, it's always after driving then turning it off, and the next time i turn it on, it does that. So I'm puzzled as well, I mean if it vibrates while I am accelerating, then it could be alignment / balancing / tyre issue, but while accelerating even on decent speed, it's all smooth, the steering wheel doesn't vibrate. The next would be my idling, i think my car idling isn't smooth, the best way to describe would be I can feel the SAME vibration on the brake pedals when i'm coming to a complete stop even when my car is idling, but rarely, so I'm very puzzled as to what's going on, hence I hope to seek some advice here in this forum.

Thank you very much

motor mounts, axles, brake pads/rotors can all contribute vibrations, as can wheel bearings. Do the vibrations change with braking pressure? Do they change if your are turning left or right? Does the engine seem to move around when idling or gently revving?

I believe the motor mountings you are talking about is Engine mounting ? If so then I have changed my mountings just last year, and have it recently checked by the volvo specialist and they say it's still as good as new. I do have a bad lower arm bushing on both front sides, could that also be the reason of steering wheel vibration ? Thinking of changing brake pads soon but could the main issue of this be cause by the rotor again ? The vibration doesn't change with braking pressure, as long as I am braking to almost complete stop, literally when the car stops, the brake pedal vibrates. No they don't change during turning. Engine seem to move around ? What do you mean by that ?

Do the vibrations change with braking pressure? - No, don't think so

Motor mounts as in Engine Mounting ? Those are good, I just changed about 1 year ago so that shouldn't be the problem. Brake pads / rotors are all good just had it checked today by the mechanic. Basically I changed a tie-rod inner for left side and tie-rod outer for right side as both is faulty on it's own, so now my steering wheel doesn't go off and it will stay in the middle as when I have an emergency brake, and also as I was told it should solve the vibration on the brake pedal when i'm coming to a complete stop. After driving it home from the workshop, i still feel the steering wheel vibration during stopping , the stopping i'm talking about is when i'm almost coming to a complete slow stop, but the brake pedal vibration so far i don't really feel it anymore, or at least, not as obvious as before. But still, the steering wheel vibration is still there so I'm wondering what could be the issue ?

Could it be the ABS module acting up? I know that it tests itself at start-up. It would be a very fast buzzing/vibration. That might explain why the same thing is happening when you brake...
