Sudden Engine Stall
I have a 2007 S60 with less than 30,000 miles. Yesterday I was returning on a trip on a busy intersate and the engine did a sudden sputter and then stalled. It would not recrank. I had to be towed home 25 miles.
no messages on the dsc. Later that night it cranked and idled normally.

An 07 that stalls for whatever reason is unacceptable.
That's why I made up my mind never to buy another Volvo again.
Their electronics are horrible. That's why somebody else said that
Volvo's slogan should be "Volvo PROBLEMS for Life"

I had 2 incidents where either would not start or suddenly engine went limp, and then later all appeared normal. Took it to shop and no fault codes indicated. I am interested in what you find as the cause/solution.

.... So why are you on a volvo forum?? Lolz
I did take it to the shop and they did find some codes indicating the fuel line or filter issue. The shop filled it with gas, although it had some, reset the codes, and drove it about 20 mile. Then there were no codes showing. So they said it may have been out of gas. So bottom line, no one knows. It has not happened again.

My 2004 S60R did that shortly after I bought it. The problem only gets worse over time, not better. I've replaced the computer and the fuel filter and now I can't let it go under 1/2 tank of fuel without it going limp on me. I have to take it in yet again to a second Volvo dealership to see what they say. Also, I have a mechanic who has the capability to read Volvo codes, it came up with recalls on 3 fuel system components. Mysteriously, the first Volvo dealership I took it to said there were never any recalls on the car... Weird!
Volvoman89, I'm still here in the Volvo forum to read and learn all about Volvo problems. I still have my 03 S60 and in case it develops a prob. I might be able to
diagnose and fix it myself instead of the d(st)ealer. I'll probably get rid of it before it reaches 120k.
