Default synthetic or non..?

I have an 01 S60 T5 and I'm looking to get an oil change. The local place said because its a turbo I'll need synthetic which is double the price, the volvo dealership said I should be fine without synthetic....any suggestions?

I use synthetic in all my vehicles. I think in the long run, if you are going to keep the car for any amount of time that you are better off going with the sythetic oil.

get full syn... also if you do it yourself, very easy, then you'll end up paying around 25dollars instead of the 60-70 you'll pay at the mechanic.
