Time for new TCV ?

Time for new TCV ?
Got a 04 s60 2.5T AWD with almost 160K, what are the tell tale signs that it needs a new TCV ? I do not have a turbo boost gauge to really see if it is still performing up to specs.
Seen it at IPD site and it is decently priced and easy to install. Any downside in installing a new one ? (aside from losing around $90
)
