Default time for regular service message

2005 S60 2.5T 35k

After reading through previous posts on here, and trying all of the instructions to clear this message, I finally figured it out.
Turn ignition to slot I.
Press and hold odometer stick.
Turn ignition to slot II.
Wait until the yellowtriangle appears, and release the stick after it flashes three times.
(it will actually flash four or five times, but you have to release it after three).
Then it will beep and let you know it's done.

Hope this helps.

Great, it worked on my 2002 S60 as well. I thought I'd have to take it into a shop to have it switched off.

It took my yellow triangle about 5 seconds to come up.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

This has been driving me crazy! I bought the super maintenance package from the dealer, but I just didnt feel like stopping by and waiting forever when I knew there was something that I could do myself.

Worked beautifully on my '08 S60.

Yes it is a little tricky took me five trials to get the yellow light on, but eventually I got the key to respond and it's cleared. Thanks much for this little clue.

Default SRS warning light?

If you have an airbag (SRS) light, you will need a scan tool that reads the SRS system. The cheapie $50 scan tools won't do it. I bought an Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802 Autozone.com for $400 with a $100 gift-card rebate.

A bunch of folks have had SRS warnings due to malfunctions in the instrument cluster. Here is a link to my post on this topic:

https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...76/#post383566

If you don't want to spend the money on a high priced scan tool, you can take it to a dealer or try to find an independent shop that can read the code for you.
