I got a 2001 volvo s60 with the 17 inch wheel option. It came with 235/45/17 size tires on it. i saw a good deal and was wondering if i could fit 225/45/17 on it?

 

You should stay with your vehicles recommeneded tire size. Check inside your gas tank flap and it will tell you what size to use

 

it will fit just fine, is 10mm less wide than the 235

 

if this was the case, no one would have a customized car, i didnt know the tire size was there though, thanks, thats good in case i ever want to go back.
