I have a 2002 S60 (non-turbo) 5-spd. I havenotice that sometimes when I start my car,the trip odometer just decided to reset itself. Sometime it beeps when it does this, sometimes not... Also, the initial "fasten your seatbelt" alarm seems a little intermittent. Does anybody know what could be causing this. Could it be asoftware issue? If so does anybody know what software pack to upload, and whether I need the dealership to do it or not?

If it is a software issue and not a ghost[>:]then you will have to have the upgrade done by the dealer. Volvo doesn't share their software with outside shops.

 

Just a shot in the dark here, but consider changing your battery if you have not done so yet. When the battery starts to go, all sorts of odd electrical problems spring up. On an '02, it would need it anyway.
