I've had a 2004 S60 T5 since June. Several times bothtrip odometers have reset themselves for no apparent reason. The trip mileage is there when the engine is shut off but whenstarted again the mileage is reset to 0.00.Any ideas?

 

I have noticed the same problem in having a 2004 s60 withintwo weeks of ownership. It has only happened once after shutting off at night next day both were set to 0. Very strange.


I have a 2.4 and was trying to get my first 500+ mile tank. I drive 120+ miles a day and really enjoy a working trip odometer. This is my first Volvo and was looking at a new 08 Camry /Hybrid and instead found the 2.4, which seems harder to find versus the turbo/awd models. I am hoping to keep this car for 2-4 years and get 125+ miles without major repairs.
It seems after looking at these boards that I should have no problem with 100k plus, knock on wood.

 

There is a software upgrade to the DIM (driver information module) available and the software part # is 30677020 to address trip odometer reset on its own also to brighten instruement cluster. hope this help
