Default Upper Engine Mount

I had the rubber gasket replace on the upper engine mount..the round one on the top..But after about 3-4 days of driving ..the gasket slips out toward the passenger side..any solutions....i can tell when it is out of place..the vibration increases. I also had the "triangle" mounts replaced 2 days ago and it still slips..Please help

OEM round mount or aftermarket poly mount?

OEM round mount's rubber is embedded into the metal, it wont slide out even when the mount is broken.

What you describe does not sound right. Post a picture if possible, but whoever changed the mount, used wrong mount or did not install it correctly.

that's your problem, the aftermarket poly mount is an oversized 2 piece mount, and if you just replace the rubber bushing, the bushing is oversized, so it has to be pushed in with a press so it won't move. is not just an insert.
The guy that installed the rubber bushing is not familiar with volvos.

Volvo upgraded the round to the square one, because of early failures of the round ones.

Buy the upgraded one from volvo and do it yourself, is easy and save money.

Get this one and call it a day. I've been running the same one for well over a year and it's a great mount. You may get a little bit of vibration from the firmer poly mount but it's minor and you'll get use to it in a week or so.
