Default Used 5w-20 instead of 5w-30. Is this OK?

Like an idiot I pulled the synthetic 5W-20 (Used in daughter's car) off my garage shelf and put it in my 2001 S60 2.4L turbo.

Weather in Florida is turning hot in afternoons. Will this be OK? Normal oil is 5w-30.

Thanks

.

the larger number refers to the viscosity at high temperature - 20 being thinner than 30. Given you are in a warm climate, I'd drain and refill with the correct weight (no need to change the filter if you have only a few miles)

If you live in Florida, only use 10W30 in your S60.
