V60 D2 2014 Cooling problems and head gasket
Hey,
i have a 2014 Volvo V60 1.6 D2 DriveE.
I had several problems with coolant being pressed out of the coolant tank. I did weeks of research now and noticed following things:
- The flaps in front of the radiator do not open when the AC is turned off, the fan does also not run when the AC is off. Therefore it overheats and presses water out. But there is no warning light, i just see the overheating on my ODB monitor.
- with the AC on the flap opens and the fan runs correctly. it keeps a temperature around 80°C and does not overheat
- with AC on and no overheating the water is pressed out after about 100km
- when driving 50km with AC on and then fully cooled down there is still pressure in the system...getting more the more you drive until it blows out even without overheating.
What i already did:
- changed the coolant cap
- changed the egr-cooler inkl valve
- changed the coolent temp sensor
i think that the engine got hot from driving without ac and blew the head gasket/ cracked head whatsoever. I dont want to change the gasket without solving the original problem. Anyone has a idea what this could be? it reads a code P0118 but gives no warning lights at all.
any ideas?
thanl you!
