variable timing gear at rest position
Well I thought I was doing good replacing the timing belt and seals on my sons S60 until I neglected to mark the "at rest" position for the variable timing exhaust cam. Is there a way to determine the at rest position?
Really ticks me off..I usually have the car serviced. My mechanic never told me about the PCV system so at 200,000+ miles the s60 blew the cam seals.
thanks in advance

Take the cas sensor off the back of the head and make sure that line on the cam is flat with the head wherever is close by then make sure that stays in place rotate the vvt cam all the way to the mark on the timing cover and slap the belt on
