Default Volvo S60 Alarm - not flashing on arming

Hi all,

A simple question really, when i bought my 2003 D5 S60 the indicator lights didn't flash when in remotely locked it, i actually had to test to establish if it had an alarm. It went into the dealers for a normal service and came back, suddenly the the indicators flash once when i lock it - as you would have expected.

A few weeks ago the alarm went off when i open the garage door, since then the indicators don't flash when i lock it, but they still flash (twice) when i unlock the car, and always have since owning it.

Is there any way that i can the indicators to flash again (once) when i lock the car?

Mine is a 2007 S60. It has the same problem as you indicated. When locking with remote, the indicator lights does not flash. Went to the dealer and they put it on VIDAS or something like ( a software scanner). It turns out that the trunk latch is not engaged properly. Dealer adjust it and it is working fine since. Check the hood/door/truck latch to make sure it works properlyor bring it to dealer to have a scan. They shall tell you what is the cause. Hope it helps.
