Nice! thanks alot!
but one question.. when I get the New (form Ebay) Switch blade, who can cut it? Do I need the dealer to cut it, how much will that cost me? or I can just go to a lock smith?
Also, is there a chip in the regular key I need to worry about?
In his post her says: What does # 2 mean?
1. From ebay: Used fob
2. From dealer: New style key, cut , Software , Programming
3. Small screw driver for prying
4. Torx 8 driver
5. Small Phillips driver (maybe)

Then they had the key cut to work for his car,
The car has to have software update for it to work with the key
and the key has to be programed to work with the car
Essentially the Software/Programming is one step
The dealership will *probably* charge you full hour of labor to program the key even though it takes 25 Minutes
You can do it like the guys that install remote start systems. They take one of your original keys with the transponder chip and tie wrap it to the steering column under the plastic cover near the receiver. Then your car will start with any key that is cut for your ignition or with the remote start in their case. This way you can buy a switch blade from Ebay and get a new key part cut and swap the remote guts. A lot of work for a cool key, and oh yeah with the key attached to the column, the theft deterrent system is now deactivated.
The chip is in the key portion. Having a new key cut will not solve your problem. I repair the switchblade mechanism. Professionally done . Guaranteed. Tony P amp1117@yahoo.com
