My '06 S60 has almost 34,000 miles on it, and I don't think the brakes have ever been done. The front pads look like they still have a lot of meat left on them.

We bought our 02 S60 with 33k miles on it. Replaced both rotors and pads at 95k, Id say about between 45-50k miles. I dont live in big cities so not using brakes as much.

The brake pad life on any car has a lot to do with the way you drive and were you live. If you stay in say San Francisco or at the top of a hill/ mountain, you will wear your brakes out quicker. If you live in flatland, the brakes will last a lot longer. I've seen customers go 20k or 60k, just depends on the driver.
