Default Where do you folks buy your parts?

I was thinking of trying that Volvo Parts Connect at the top of the page for brake parts, if they say that they offer Genuine Volvo parts, but I'm just concerned that they might be counterfeit or just repackaged aftermarket. That FCP Groton site looks pretty legit too. Thoughts?

FCP Groton is good for everything but rubber parts.

I personally buy everything from IPD.

I buy EVERYTHING from FCP for my 850 and also when I had my 240. Great prices and great service. I would say 60% of folks on here buy from them. If you keep an eye out, they also post discount codes for free shipping along with 10-15% off your purchases.

I figure between IPD and FCP you can't go wrong! Either way, it better on your pocket that going to the Stealer!

Heico is a tuning co... Great for tuned ECUs and a few other "tuning" parts, however they don't necessarily sell replacement parts like IPD or FCP.

I go to an independent shop, and he charges a lot less than the stealer, but if I can reduce costs even more I'm going to do that. I'm thinking of trying that Volvo Parts Connect since they claim to sell Genuine Volvo parts at discount prices.

So does FCP and right now they have a 15% off coupon code floating around and free shipping. Just saying!

I have bought several parts from Volvo Parts Connect. It is actually Stadel Volvo located in Lancaster, PA where I'm from. The parts ARE Genuine Volvo Parts. I also believe that if your order is over $150 shipping is free.

Volvo Parts Connect is actually a number of dealerships working together - they are genuine volvo parts as you said and they will ship from the dealership in the network that is closest to you.

Rockauto.com works for me. I buy the parts and if the labor is too much for me to handle, I have a Volvo mechanic that will charge me the labor.

Some parts through Advance Auto Parts stores are worth considering. Last year I needed to replace the alternator and power steering pump on my 2004 Volvo S60 and bought them through my local store here........I paid/ordered the parts and they were available the next day and I when I returned the core I got the refund on the cores. Their prices were discounted better than most of the online Volvo parts stores, plus what amazed me, these two parts are given a lifetime warranty. The clerk said if they ever fail, bring in the failed part and they will replace it at NO charge! And these two parts I installed myself are working great. I haven't found any other parts outlet that will warrant their parts for life.
