why does my gps constantly give me bad directions?

i left the jersey shore and baisically drove to new york city.not happy what is the problem plz help

You probably need to update your stored maps if it's the built in factory Nav your talking about.
Here is a link to purchase a DVD with the latest maps to load into your vehicle.
