Default Creaking sound when turning both directions

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows why my 99 S70 is creaking when nearly turning fully tothe left or right. Is this a CV Joint problem, ball joint, control arm problem or hopefully like bay 13 says the steering stops need to be greased? Any help would be grateful.

Thanks

Could be your spring seats. Try spraying some wd40 on the bottom of the front springs. If things quiet down then you have found your problem. Then use some lithium grease and smear it in there.

r.

Look in the front wheel well. You will see the coil spring. Spray lube at the bottom of the spring....the spring seat.
