Default will EXTRACTOR work on tranny fluids?

Hi all my very first post,

I sold my boat many years ago but still have this extractor. My question is has anyone tried this on a S60 tranny fluid change?

If this works then it could be a totally tooless job. What is exactly beneath the dip stick tube inside the tranny? Instead of using car ramps I could just syphen out the 3 quarts at a time from the top side, go drive around and do it over again from the top side.

Not saying to go buy one but just that I have one and want to experiment.

Thanks all........

That certainly is one way to go. That is a viable option to the drain and fill technique. Not as efficient as a complete flush, but many people rely on drain and fills. Best of all its something you already have.

Extracting is better than doing nothing. But if you change your own oil conventionally, by loosening the drain plug, then while you are under there, drain the trans oil as well. Put in Mobil 3309.

At least gravity is your friend with a Drain and fill as opposed to extraction.
