2000 S70 intermitently won't start
Hey all,
I'm new to this site. Car trouble directed me here via Internet searches for solutions to my problem.
Tonight my car wouldn’t start. It acted like it was out of gas but had plenty.
The first try to start it started and died. I turned the key again and it started but died again.
The third time I tried it just cranked with not fire at all, just like it was out of gas.
I called for help and as I waited about 15 minutes I tried it again and it started and I was able to get home. The car ran fine like there was no issue.
I was thinking fuel pump or control module.
The timing belt has been replaced and the car has been running fine.
I do notice some small skipping like a plug miss fife when I'm on the highway so I was planning on doing a tune-up soon.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks for joining the forum. Hopefully you will give and receive a lot of help.
As you may have noticed, I have moved your thread to the proper website forum. They have different forums for different model cars. Also, there are a few people that have been posting this problem recently so you may be able to find your answer.
As for your problem, it is likely a worn out fuel pump. However, we don't want you to start throwing parts at the car, have it checked out. A fuel pressure gauge would be the best thing to get to check this problem. The fuel pumps in these cars often do not simply fail, they get worse and worse which drives people nuts before they finally figure it out.
