2000 S70 wont start or run
Good Day to all.
Yesterday my wife was driving on the freeway and her S70 stopped responding. There was no response to the pedal and coasted to the side of the road and died. After towing home we checked the following items:
Starter cranks the engine over, I removed the timing belt top cover and the cams are turning. I checked the fuel rail pressure 50+ PSI and then bleeds down to the 20+ area after sitting a couple of minutes. Checked for codes and found P0500, P0506 and P1119. I will check for spark this evening. Is there anything else you can recommend I check while I am in there?
Thank You
Greg

I think the P0506 is an IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) error and the other is a MAF code. So, either on or the other is bad. My guess would be the MAF since the IAC is not functional at cruising speed. I could be wrong.
Another issue those cars have a lot are the Throttle Control.
