2000 volvo s70 air cleaner tubes/hoses/wires
2000 Volvo S70 (I think it's the base model, but am not sure - not sure how to check either)
---
Hello. I've searched around but could not find anything.
My main question is with concern to the two tubes that come out of the air cleaner/filter. There are two things (tube looking - but not sure if they are wires or hollow tubes) that come out of the side of the air cleaner. The bottom tubeis white and routed to the intake manifold. The tube above that is a thinner and harder black plastic tube. It is this top tube whose connnection to the air filter cracked. The tube is now off completely, though, I am still in possession of it (it's in my glovebox). Since it came off, my "check engine" light came on. I am wondering to where the other side of this tube connected. One side connects obviously to the air cleaner/filter. Where does the other side connect?
btw. I had autozone scan for the check engine light. The error is P0455. The definition is EVAP large leak detected. Probable causes include: defective, loose, or missing fuel cap; EVAP canister broke, hose cracked, or not connected; purge or vent solenoid defective; and vacuum leak at engine.
also worth mentioning is that my car runs perfectly fine.

Another question is if there is a manual method by which to open the gas lid if the electronic button on the side of the driver's door fails.
---
Another question is how to check to identify the type of engine I have in the car (which litre 1.4, 2.4, 3.2, ???etc.) ? I read somewhere but could not find the page again that it is the last two digits of some number on a plate that is attached to the inside of the hood somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
---
Last question would be a way to check which model S70 that I have
---
I guess you figured out that I am a new owner of this 2000 Volvo S70. I only had this car a few days and I like it a lot. Thank you for the info about the "service light" issues as well as some other maintanence issues. I found out a lot from this place looking through the threads. And I thank you for your time and concern and hope for any help with the above issues. Thanx again.

chances are you have the base model, as the T-5 or GLT would be marked on the back.
To check the engine, their is a white tag under the hood, should have the engine model #, post that and we can tell you what you have.
Second, I dont think your switch is going to break for the gas, as a ton of cars have the same thing, so I wouldnt worry about that(unless its already broken)
I cant help you with your first question other thatn look for somthing that should have somthing conencted to it.
