Default 850 front end swap?
would I be able to put an 850 front end on the s70 or were things changed up making it impossible to do so?

You can (I mean on the 98) They dropped the hood down, and so you'll need the hood latch brackets for an 850, which are taller, and you'll see that there is a bolt hole missing in the inner fenders. But it'll work.
