Question 98 s70 4way flasher/ alarm problems

I have a 98 s70 non turbo GLT which has started to have some 4way flasher problems. I know that this year car does not have the immobilizer system, but after locking the car via the keyfob within 3 minutes the 4way flashers start going and after 5 minutes they stop. I have read many ideas on what the problem might be and of course Volvo wants you to bring it in. One idea is the 210/211 relay which i have read can be jumped to turn the alarm off all together. 1st Is this true? 2nd does anyone know the Volvo part number for the dummy relay jumper?

Welcome to the Forum.

Who told you that it does not have an immobilizer? It definitely does, which could be your issue.

The dealer told me that the 1998 model year did not have it, the 1999 and after year has them. They asked me to look at my keys and asked if they were chipped and I said no. They told me that is the easiest way to tell. No chip no immobilizer. Now they did say that it had a "NO START" feature on the alarm. That is not the problem. The car satrts, its just that the flashers keep going after I lock the car and I need to get the part number for the "DUMMY RELAY".
