98 S70 Driver side window issues
Hello everyone —
Problem: front driver side window acting up.
Description: started one week ago, had a couple hot days then - cool, very cool. When I power the window down, no problem... when i go to raise the window, after it raises up past the halfway mark, the window starts to pitch down on the front end while still raising up...till closed.
It squeaks a little as it raises up as if it was too tight ? After its all the way up I have to pull it flush into the top part so its sealed. Funny thing, it rained and I opened and closed it no problem.
What gives ?
result: I lose about about 5-10 degrees off level.
See picture of illustration to see what I mean about it being off pitch... Areas circled in yellow.
I would appreciate any feed back, tips and diy techniques as I am low on cash...
Thanks in advance.
Bruce

Usually this starts with noise. On older cars, it's a good idea to lube the tracks, etc. as soon as you start hearing noise. Pull the panel and check the tracking mechanism for damaged plastic tracks, etc.
I'll try that route - appreciate the tip. I'll post feedback on whether it works or not.
Now I'll to find out what kind of lube... how to get it into the tracks.
Help with panel removal or would that be in the manual ?

Probably one screw near the handle, remove the lock **** screw, maybe a screw behind the speaker grill and the rest will be pulling it loose from the door. Be careful with the buttons, they may just pull out as well.
