Default 98 s70 t5 turbo trouble

Good evening
Thank you in advance for having such a great site to help folks save some money and get some straight answers.
I have 98 S70 T5 with 135K miles, I got it last year with 90k and I replaced many parts to have reliable car since I knew I would be driving a lot. Some of the maintenance included
Timing belt
Complete front suspension
Brakes disks
Alternator
Most work was done by myself, accept for the timing belt.
This car was great for the 45K miles in 12 months I had it. Today I noticed significant oil leak from the turbo unit. I did not see any loss of power or smoke. It does smell like burning oil in the cabin, however I thought I was from the oil dripping on the exhaust pipe from the turbo unit. I know that the repair could cost about $1500 and I was wondering if there something I could do or double check before spending that kind of money. The turbo oil return line is fine
Chris

I would clean everything really good and take it for a drive and double check it.

The turbo's are not really know for causing a bad oil leak.

Do you have any Volvo specialist shops near you? They might be a little cheaper.
