Default S70 is in big trouble now

If you search my recent posts you will find that I repaired an S70 A/C system and installed a new radiator.

Well, the owner of the car was driving it and it ran great for a few days. Then today she says white smoke is coming from the vents when the A/C is running. I figure the heater core has a small leak. I told her to check around the carpet to see if it was wet and be VERY careful to make sure it had enough coolant in it just to get home.

A few hours later I get a call from her saying the engine was smoking under the hood and she just left the car in a parking lot.

I drive out and find the cooling system bone dry, the battery somewhat discharged, and oil spray in the area under the rainwater drain hose from the cowl on the RH side of the car. The engine will turn but will not start.

I'm sure she did not check the coolant and drove it on the freeway and it overheated very badly. Some complete idiot at an Autozone told her to add oil and it would be okay so she added a bit.

She says there was a lot of smoke coming up from the oil filler with the cap off.

I think the head gasket is blown.

Oh but what is strange is why the battery is discharged. Also, when you try and crank the engine the air intake hose has a slight vibration in it that lasts a few minutes after the try. It's like an electrical motor vibration.

Anyway, she is towing it to a mechanic in the morning and I am sure a compression test will show it to be the headgasket.

What do you think it going on?
