Default Air Conditioning Runs Constantly

What does it mean if the air conditioning runs constantly? The climate control is off (little orange light on the off button) with the fan set to the "0" speed, and the air conditioning still runs slightly. Is this normal or is something wrong?

It's not very loud so its hard to hear, and it blows just hard enough that you can feel it coming from the vents. It's easy to tell when its 30 degrees outside and the climate control is set to maximum heat and it blows faint but warm air, even though the system is set to off. When turned on, it works fine, but it still runs a little even when turned off.

Air will come through the system whenever you're moving, because of the air pressure at the base of the windshield. However, on my car, the fan does not run when it's off.

Close the two center dashboard vents and see if that changes anything in regards to the cold air/faint warm air.

I will try that and report back, Psaboic.

UPDATE: I closed the center vents and it seems to stop all air flow at the center vents. (as one might expect)

Default Sensor under dash, above gas pedal

There is a small sensor under the dash just above the gas pedal that has a green harness connector. Unplug and remove the sensor and replace it. You can find a new sensor online or a u-pull yard. Try that. It immediately began to work. As is with most other things, disconnect your negative terminal on the battery. Turn the key to II before reconnecting the battery to avoid SRS fault code.
