Default anti frezee leak in my S70

I have a 1999 S70 nonturbo. when I add coolant to the bottle, it pours right out from between the firewall and engine. I thought it was the water pump, but it is not. The water pump has been changed along with the timing belt. There is a silver or alumi tee back there, that meets with the hose from the bottle. I can't see for sure. It leaks out with out being under pressure. Any ideas?

Those lines go into the car for the heater core. You can search about that.

Is that where the heater hose hooks to the block?

Thanks GDOG! that's where the coolant is leaking from. I am trying to take off the timming belt cover, between the block and firewall. I cant find the bolts or bolt. It seems lose but i can't remove it. I have to get in there to replace the gasket and clean the block off.

The timing belt cover is not between the block and firewall. The firewall us the metal between the motor and passenger compartment. The t-belt cover is between the motor and passenger side wheel. The cover has 1 bolt then works off upwards.

Thanks rspi, I need to know how to take off the remaining plastic timming blet cover, after the front and top are off. It's what is left, it runs down the engine block, all the way to the serpintine belt bottom pully. Between the block and the fire wall. The peice that you're refering to is off already. The plastic is too close to the coolant inlet pipe, for me to clean it,and reseal it. Any ideas?

I guess you need to post a picture or pm me so I can send you my e-mail address. I can not think of a reason for you to remove the back of the timing belt cover. Don't think there is a need for you to do that. Picture please.

rspi, I think I may need to remove the water pump. To get the peice off.

I still don't understand why you need to remove that piece unless coolant is pouring out of the motor down there, which would mean that something is wrong with your water pump. I guess there is a chance that you have a major gasket/seal leak behind that cover but I really doubt it. If that is the case you will need to replace the head gasket or something major. I really don't think there is any easy fix behind that cover.

However, you may have to remove the timing belt but I really don't think the water pump is in the way of that cover coming off. When in doubt, keep taking stuff off. So, if you want it removed, you will likely have to pull the timing belt and cam sprockets.

Here is a picture of the cover near the water pump. It looks like the water pump is not keeping that cover on.

Thanks that's it, the plastic peice. Thanks for your help. There is a tube that is right behind it. I can remove the tube with two bolts, but I can't get in there to reseal. The fluid comes right out of the connection at the block. As soon as I daa the coolant. With out it being at temp or running. It just flows out. If it were the head gasket. would the car run krappy? and or have water in the oil? Blow white smoke? You have been a great help to me and I thank you very much. Time to take the cam sprokets off.

RSPI, Thanks for your help. I took the plastic peice off and there it was. A bad freeze plug, I am replacing them both while I am in there.
