Default Bad Wheel Bearing?

I've been getting quite a bit of noise from the drivers front wheel for about 5k miles. At first I thought maybe it was the new tires I just put on, but after putting 5k on them and having them rotated the noise is still there. There is also a slight bit of vibration felt in the pedals and wheel, which made me think that it could be the rotor, but usually if the rotor is warped then you really notice it under braking, and I don't get any more vibration or noise under braking. The noise is speed dependant, which has led me to believe it's a wheel bearing or something in the suspension possibly. Any ideas Tech?

I would say wheel bearing as well. I will also bet it starts at about 40 to 45 MPH.

It would be either wheel bearings or tires but if you have new tires then I say wheel bearing.

Same thing happened on mine after new tires, turned out to be the right front wheel hub assembly. That fixed the problem once replaced. Been having the same problem with the left side now, so I ordered another front wheel hub ***. to fix it.

Found one on Ebay for $95 plus shipping NEW...should be here Friday or Monday. I have about 91K on my s70 now and both have gone bad.

May I ask why you bought a whole wheel hub assembly? You can usually just have the old bearing taken out and have a new one pressed in.

They only come as a assembly. It just screws into the back of the hub assembly.

That's pretty retarded, when a wheel bearing went bad on my Talon I just had a new bearing pressed in.

Yes it is kind of retarded but it only takes about half of the time to install then having it pressed in.
