Default Blower motor suddenlly stoped working

This morning while heading to work, i noticed that the AC/ heater blower motor stoped working. i did notice yesterday that it was squeeling, although it was still working, now i havnt had time to check it out.

I am just posting it just incase someone has had the same problem or it might be just a defect. i will start by checking Fuses, Relays, then last by checking the blower motor. Although it might just be the motor itself since it began with a slight noise for the past two day..

Any advice?

thanks

Most of the time when a blower motor stops working it's the blower resistor, they either short to ground or burn open.

Hummm I thought that i would check a fuse and a relay, well thanks to cutting to the chase. I guess ill check the resistor, then the motor..ill be arriving home ready jeje..

Thanks

Oh and im assuming that the resistor is by the blower motor?

Well i went to the junker and got myself a blower motor and a Blower resistor. I replaced the motor first, so that said the resistor is still good but i had bought the wrong one anyways. I cant return it so if anyone is intrested in it. The blower resistor came off a 97 S70, ill sell it for $15. shipped..

No distributor. Car has ECC. Resistor is all integrated circuit. No parts easily removed or resoldered. My unit has several numbers on it, stickered, only one impressed into plastic. I don't know if there are different ones for each model...I will need your guidance.
thanks
