Default Blower not working

Dear Experts,
I have a 1998 Volvo S70 and it has 350K on it. I don't want to quite on this car. Currently, I'm experiencing a strange problem. When I turn on the AC(I have't tried the heater yet), every thing work find. After certain time, there will be no air and when I put the fan in full speed, I heard a loud noise...After I tun-off the fan will work OK for another 1/2 hr or so...then the problem comes again....

Please help me who do I fix this ?

If I have to change the blower, should I remove the dash(I did it once for replacing the evaporator and it was painful)....

I appreciate if you could provide repair instruction with photos how to fix it...I'm willing to pay you some few $ if you have paypal account. Many thank in advance.

Sounds like the evap is freezing up on you. Under the hood in the pipe just before the connection for the evap is a sensor. I will bet it is bad. When the freon gets cold the pressure drops and that shuts the compressor off.

If you can get it to do it pretty quick when it acts up leave the car running and open the hood and I will bet the pipes will be frozen. Get a new switch and unscrew the old one and screw the new one on and done.

do you mean, I have to repleace the sensor ?

Also, if it is the sensor, the fan should work if I tunn off the AC, when both AC and FAN were on but Fan stop working ?

yesterday, I noticed that both pipes that goes to evaporator were completly forzen (2mm of white frozen of all pipe).

Please let me know which switch you are referring to ? Is it the one in cabin (climate control switch) or the one on pipe, in engine compartment, which goes to evaporator ?

I wonder what will happen when the fan stop working ? Can AC build in the pipe and make it frozen ?
