Default Bought a 98' S70 turbo w/140k. Questions on what to do

So our son bought a 98' S70 turbo that had 138k on it at the time. The previous owner had owned it since 60k. They had the timing belt done at 70k. We are getting ready to have it done again since it just turned 140k. Should I replace all of the pulleys and the tensioner? Also what about the serpentine belt and the pullys for that? I'm also going to have the water pump done since it will already be apart. Our Saab 9-5 had a PCV update that was required. Does the S70 have any updates that should be done to it? I buy our parts for our Saab from eEuroparts and noticed that they also sell Volvo parts. Is there a better place to buy from online?

Yes, do all the pulleys/tensioners/etc. every other timing belt change. And like you mentioned H2O pump while in there is a good idea too.

PCV system should be cleaned/changed every 70K or so also; they tend to get clogged and cause excessive crankcase pressure.

I've heard eEuro is good but I haven't used them. FCP Groton and IPD are my sources for parts. Still have to watch out for certain aftermkt parts though...

Any certain brands to steer clear of?

A good rule of thumb is to go with OEM or original volvo parts, if you can.

Otherwise it just depends on what you parts you're shopping for...

I noticed on eEuroparts that for example they have Hepu and Aisin as options for water pumps. There is quite a bit of difference in price.

Seems like most around here prefer the Hepu, but think the Aisin is good too; I have the hepu on my vehicles and had no issues.

Here's one example of a similar thread; note JPN's post #5...

I wouldn't replace the water pump unless I had over 200k on it. Yes do the pulley's and tensioner. I would not do the serpentine belt. It has very low risk for damage/breakage and you can see it and replace it anytime.

I have aisian wp in my 960. Only about 10k on it so no issues. The PCV is a good idea if it hasn't been replaced, REPLACED, in the past 5 years.
