Question Door "locks" but can still be opened from outside.

Help! The front passenger door on my '99 s70 will "lock" either by pushing the pin down or by tapping the actuator, but from outside, you can still open the door. This then sets off the alarm. Is there an easy way to fix this? Is it just a matter of replacing the door latch, or maybe a cable or something that is loose?

You will likely have to replace the latch.

I have the same problem on mine, same door too. So far the only "solution" I've come across is replacing the latch. Haven't done it yet though.

The problem you described shows that there is a need of replacing door latch but may be it will be working perfect by some adjustments are done. I also had window problem before, I visited R & R Certified Tire And Auto LLC and I am satisfied with their quality work. Now my window works perfectly. you should visit to a good auto repair shop. I suggest you R & R Certified Tire And Auto LLC, they are really helpful. R & R Certified Tire And Auto LLC also offers a wide range of auto repair services including Tires change, breaks, shocks, alignment, suspension, ac service etc.
