Default Conflicting Crutchfield/Real Life info....

Hey again dudes - I'm looking to get a new head unit for my S70. After checking out lots of pages on them thar interwebs I think I've found the one I want. I'm really interested in the Pioneer FH-P8000BT.

Here's a pic of it:

So on Crutchfield I was looking at this unit and apparently Crutchfield is under the impression that I can't fit it into my 2000 S70 GLT SE. My question is... does this trim have the 6- or 8-speaker audio system? Or is that a completely independent matter entirely?

I've seen pics of this unit in an S70 online and I's read reviews about putting this in S70's before... I was under the impression that you can usually fit any stereo into any car as long as you're not trying to put a double din into a single..

Any input on this? Thanks in advance.

Buy it if you really want one. Nothing too difficult with the installation. Tons of posts w/ images showing after market radios installed.

You'll need the installation kit and wiring harness. If I were you I would find somewhere that will sell the necessary pieces that you will need to install it with the stereo. And you have an SE, so it probably has 8 speakers. I would look around to confirm with other places that it fits as well as finding the installation kit and wiring harness, because without the harness, it's going to be tough to get it to work.

My goal is to get the unit and harness from crutchfield and take that to somewhere (or myself, we'll see) who can install it for me...

Thanks for that. I've been wondering if the SE / non SE had any difference when it comes to the audio package. The sound is this car sounds better than the rest of my family members' cars.
