So my 99 S70 non-turbo creaks when i turn the wheel to the left. When it turn the other way theres no sound. I wanted to hear any suggestions on what it could be before i bring it to the shop. I read somewhere that maybe some lube to a few places will do it, but im not sure where. Please help. Thanks.

 

Mine creaked both ways.

Got the white plastic split bushing out of the steering bottom column (inside the car), by moving the boot out of the way. Cleaned it, and put it back in with white litium grease.

Even this morning at 5F, no creak.

Took five minutes.
