custom intake
has anyone ever done a custom intake to their car..
preferably a n/a s70...
or does anyone have a picture of what it looks like..
also what tools do i need to install a custom intake or just to put it on the MAF..
and what do i do with the connecting tubes that or on the air box.. do i leave them there or take them out?

Does it look like this? The bottom two pictures that is, not the short ram intake pic.

"Some 1998 models had a Secondary Air System (SAS) used to reduce emissions. The SAS system normally draws it's air supply from the factory air filter box. Since our Short Ram Intake replaces the factory air box, these models will need an additional filter for SAS. See the image on the right to determine if your vehicle has SAS."

If you have SAS then you need to place a small filter shown above in the tube that connects to the airbox. Yes you remove the top of the airbox. But I assume there is a tube attached to that fitting in the top of the airbox which can be removed (The tube that is) and then a filter needs to be placed on the end of that tube.
One of those hoses goes to the Valve in the air box that directs the hot or cold air into the air box.
The second one just goes to the intake. Not exactly sure why they have it there.
I would remove it and cap the port and see what happens.
