Question Dash Lights On

I have a 98 S70 and the ABS/TRACS ON/SERVICE CHECK ENGINE lights are on for about 10 minutes or so and then go off. Sometime they dont go off at all. Upon reading a few articles, it seems the ABS control unit is bad. Am I diagnosing this correct? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your abs unit is probably shot, you can get it fixed cheap. Service light comes on every 3000 miles to remind you to service engine and you have to reset it via obd ll. Have you scanned to see trouble codes yet?

Its under armrest. Open arm rest, take plastic cover off and you will see obd ii connector for scanner you plug into. You can go to autozone and they will read your codes for free or you can buy one.

I doubt that will work.

Anyway, I had this problem in 2007 and replaced with a rebuilt ABS Module from bba-reman.com for $115. LT warranty.

So far so good.

Well it was worth a shot. Nope, didnt work. Y ea I seen a few places that will rebuild them from $70.00 - $150 bucks. Im gonna pick one up at the junk yard first for 20 bucks, might get lucky and actually be a good one. If not I will have it repaired. Thanks for your guys inputs.
