I just had a new Bosch alternator put in by Swedish Car Specialists and it takes almost 10 seconds for the alternator to kick in. The belt isn't slipping. Anyone else have this issue and is it normal?

 

Never heard of that, before, but I once had an old Mercedes that would not turn out the battery light after you started it unless you blipped the throttle a couple times. Charged fine after that. If the new alternator is charging ok, you can either live with it as a quirk, or take it back and deal with the hassle of trying to get it resolved......
